A lot has happened over the last 3 years and I’ve moved to Ireland to be with Vanilla. One Irish thing that always fascinated me when I was in India was hearing about the Irish carvery. Some families in Ireland like to get together and go for a Sunday carvery in the local pub; we like our carvery as well and usually like to go to the Tara Towers hotel in near Donny Brook, in Dublin 4.
I find the taste of meat carveries a little too ‘meaty’ for my liking and generally go for the baked salmon carvery which is absolutely delicious with the white sauce if you are a fan of fish. The half portion in Tara Towers comes for €7.50 and is great value for money.
Here is my irish carvery dinner from this Sunday. They did not have baked salmon this time around so I chose to get the one with lamb. Here’s our corn beef and lamb carvery. Yummy!
